Then you will have more space for informations like track title, artist, album title and year. When changing volume you will get for 5 seconds additional informations like battery level in %, remaining battery time and volume in db. Also you will get alternating information (2.5 sec) about codec & bitrate and frequency. The clock can display 12h and 24h format. If you activate the sleep timer you will see the remaining time. Current and total time with playlist position is available with a progress bar underneath. At the lower edge you will find the next track info. I slightly recreated the original icons from the Rockbox default theme "cabbiev2", so that they look a little bit sharper. I also changed the icons for battery and volume, so that the information is more detailed (twice as accurate)! Works with current dev build Works with release 3.15 |

For items that did not have album art, text data was displayed for 'Title, Artist and Album'. For those that prefer the "No Album Art" option, deletion is reqired for any embedded album art items in their music library and this is obviously not practical. Cabbie-Revisited v2 is my design for the "No Album Art" option. It has a new feature that displays additional file-audio information. Normally when you press 'pause' while playing an item, the playing is paused and audio is muted. Now a new info screen is displayed that provides the following data on the current item that is paused" - Filename with extension type - ID3 Tag version - Codec - Bit Rate - Sampling Rate - Replay Gain - File Size. While in pause mode, you can step through the current playlist via the 'right' button or back via the 'left'. When you press 'play' the play screen is restored and playing is resumed. V2 has some changes in the wps and fms screens from v1: ======================================================= - If you select the 12 hour time format(recommended) the 'am' or 'pm' descriptor is displayed. - The battery icon was enlarged to accomodate the larger font [9-fixed.fnt]. - The line selecor text color was set to 'black'. - The default "User font" is [16-Adobe Helvetica Bold.fnt] This applies to the play screen display of "Title, Artist & Album" and the "Menu" screen. ( The largest "User font" supported is [19-Nimbus.fnt] ) - The FM (fms) screen now displays a warning that audio is muted if "pause" is pressed. The warning is cleared when "play' is resumed. The aim is to have enough information on the screen and a rather big font to make the theme usable while moving. 12-Nimbus font is used for FM-screen, so font pack may be required. The theme has shuffle, repeat, hold indicators, custom status bar and Fm screen. I remade 20-Termius-bold to make a font for this theme. If the battery level is below 53%, it'll turn yellow, below 27% - red, below 11% - a blinking exclamation mark will appear. If volume level is above certain level, it will turn yellow and then red. I basically needed a theme that would work well the Nimbus 19 font so it would be easy to read while in the car, and would also display the album 'track number' and the 'Grouping' ID3v2 tag. I liked the look and feel of the Cabbie themes so I used Cabbie Enhanced+ as the base. In order to apply the Nimbus 19 font I had to optimize screen real estate. These are the main changes I made to the base Cabbie Enhanced+ theme: (1) album art reduced from 100x100 pixels to 80x80, (2) added "track number" tag before track title, (3) increased height (21 px) of display area where artist, track title, and album name is shown to allow use of Nimbus 19 font , (4) moved "year" tag to follow the album name, (5) added the "Grouping" tag to follow the genre, (6) moved "Next:" text to same line as next track artist and title, (7) set "Genre" and "Grouping" tags to a fixed Nimbus 14 font, (8) removed display of "current directory" when track has no album name, and (9) renamed "NoRG!" text to "No ReplayGain" (only in view with no album art). I took what I liked about Sonata (the clock, numeric volume bar and 'rockboxless' status bar) and inserted them into Cabbie-enhanced-info. I reordered the icons to match the default Rockbox SRS order and shifted the clock to the lower right like in a windows OS. I then added a battery life numeric display over its indicator icon. As I play music from various countries, I use the "Rockbox-Mix" font for maximum compatibility, but this often ruins the layouts of the various themes I downloaded. For Cabbie Enhanced+, I have tweaked and adjusted the positions of the icons and lines to the pixel so that the "Rockbox-Mix" font looks harmonious and proportional, at least to my eye. Based off of an artwork I did in The GIMP a while back, a piece of which now serves as the background to this theme. The codec/playlist info in the WPS toggles every few seconds with the song's genre and rating, or it's playcount if it has no rating. The little ball in the top left is a disk activity indicator, the rest of the buttons should need no description. Uses 13-Fixed font from the font pack. All graphics done by yours truly, with the exception of the shuffle, repeat, and lock icons, which I recolored from XL Fuzed (By David Thacker). The icons are a recolored version of the small Silk iconset(By Stefan Saftescu). The code is based of XL Fuzed, as well. UPDATE 1.5!: I know, its been a while. But here it is, the newest and most likely final version of Darkness. The main change being the code syntax updated to work with the latest (post release 3.6) builds. I made a font for this theme that must be called 20-ProFont, I suppose. Actually I remade 20-Termius-bold to make this one. The font has cyrillic support. It is possible to use any bigger font up to 24 in size, or any smaller. There is no graphic at all in the theme, all is made using viewports only and look rather complete: shuffle, repeat, on hold, charging and connected indicators. Battery level will turn yellow and then red, if it's below certain level, and then it'll start blinking. If volume level is above certain level, it will turn yellow and then red. Point the cursor of your mouse to see an additional screenshot of the theme. The theme is made for sansa Fuze and tested with iriver H3xx and iPod Color/Photo simulators.
